Mama B & the Boys

Boys are truth with dirt on their face, beauty with a cut on its finger, wisdom with bubble gum in its hair, and the hope of the future with a frog in its pocket.

WOW WHAT A WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's start with Sunday. We woke up Sunday morning to the beginning of a nice white beautiful snow. We decided to venture out to a new Church we've been wanting to visit for a while. We had a great time! The nursery program there is awesome, the worship was great, the sermon was very educating, and we were greeted with open arms. We've been looking for a place we felt like we belonged and that met each of our needs. Well, I think we've finally found it. As far as I know we plan on heading back there on Sunday and we can't wait! The rest of our Sunday was pretty boring. It snowed so much more and the roads got terrible....

Monday morning we woke up early, played with Jaren, got ready and headed to my first OB appointment! I was so excited to go and get to hear the baby's heartbeat, and just ease my mind that everything was okay!! Well we started down our hill (if anyone knows where we live then they will understand this story completely) it was so slick we couldn't even get stopped pulling out of the drive way and it's a level surface. Anyway, we started down the hill and Cali's (that's what we named our car) back end decided it was going to go ahead of the front of us. I WAS TERRIFIED! Jesse said he was a little nervous because he'd never really had that happen to him before. The car had stopped sliding, so I asked him to let me out of the car because I hate to slide and I knew it would be better if I wasn't in the car to yell at him. Well when I got out of the car, I slipped! So Jesse decided to get out and help me across the road to get into the snow so I wouldn't slip again. Anyway, we saw another vehicle was trying to come down the hill so Jesse wanted to tell him to give him time to get down the hill before he tried to come so that they wouldn't collide. So he patiently waited. Then another vehicle decided to come up the hill. When you live on this hill in the winter you have to get a running start or you'll NEVER make it. So Jesse waved the guy down and got him stopped just in time. So he patiently waited as well. Once again, Jesse was trying to figure out the safest way to get the car down the hill, when another guy started truckin' it up the hill. We all flagged him down but he kept right on coming, and got around our car and yep you guessed it, got stuck on the ice and slid right down the hill backwards and crashed into our car. He knocked our car into the huge ditch on the side of the road. It was terrible. To make the rest of the story short, we exchanged insurance information, and it took 5 hours to get our car out of the ditch. We are now driving a rental and our car is at the collision repair shop at the cost of the other guy. While we were waiting on the tow truck and exchanging information I slipped on the ice twice and fell both times. My doctor's office was closed by the time we got the car out, so we headed to the ER. We heard the baby's heartbeat there and everything was good. Praise God!

Tuesday was my Grandma's 69th birthday! The morning was a little rough. She fell out of bed, but she was in her right mind, she knew it was her birthday. We celebrated chocolate cake with peanut butter icing, and neopolitan ice cream!

Wednesday was another eventful day. About 400ish in the morning we were awaken by a HUGE BOOOM! My mom came running down the stairs for me to call 911. My grandma had fallen again, flat on to her face on her bedroom floor. She hit her head on a desk she has in her room, so we wouldn't allow her to move until the ambulance got there. Thank goodness the ambulance is a tank and made it up this horrible hill. After about 7 or 8 hours of tests and xrays, they concluded that she was just going to be very bruised and sore for a while and let her come home. She has a two pretty big marks on her face. Jesse and I decided to start getting ready to go do a few things while Jaren napped and then we got Jaren up and came upstairs to get ready to go. I walked into the kitchen and looked into my Grandma's room and she was on the floor again. I screamed for Jesse to get her up for my Mom. He lifted her up like it was nothing and put her back into her bed. I just hope now she realizes she just needs to yell for my Mom to help her out of bed. It's so scary when someone falls.

Thursday: Grandma is doing better today. She's stayed in bed pretty much all day and my Mom actually got a little rest. I had my appointment today at 315 and I love the Dr. that I got to see. I was supposed to just go in for blood work(they called me on the way and cancelled because the doctor I was supposed to see was called in to an emergency c-section, but they fit me in with another doctor.) We got to hear the baby's heartbeat again and I had all my labs drawn. Then the doctor asked if we wanted an unofficial ultrasound. It was awesome. Baby Davis was kicking and swinging her/his arms like crazy. Jesse said I'm in a lot of trouble once she/he starts getting bigger! The rest of my evening has been spent eating dinner and just relaxing. The past few days have exhausted me completely so relaxing is just what I need.

Please keep my Grandma in your prayers while she's recovering from her fall!

I'll try to have pictures up very soon!

PS. JESSE PASSED HIS CORRECTIONS OFFICER EXAM!!! ONE STEP CLOSER TO A NEW JOB!!!

Hey Brandi! Wowwww am I reading this right? You're pregnant again?! Congratulations! How old is Jarren now?

Gosh, time seems to fly by. I didn't even know that Jesse was out of the Marine Corps!

So where are you guys living now?

Anyway, I don't mind if you follow mine if you don't mind I follow yours! :)

And I can't believe that guy who drove up the hill and then slid into your car! Good thing he's paying for the damages! lol
